How to Draw a T-Rex A Step-by-Step Manual

Although they existed millions of years ago, dinosaurs have captured our imagination since we first discovered their bones and fossils. Countless movies, shows, video games, and comics have tried to explore what it would have been like to share the planet with these titans. Of all the dinosaurs, the mighty wolf T-Rex may be the most recognizable.

Due to its popularity, many would like to learn how to draw a T-Rex to show appreciation and wonder for the king of the dinosaurs. This step-by-step manual on how to draw a T-Rex in 9 steps will allow you to draw this mighty dinosaur yourself!

How to Draw a T-Rex – let’s Get Initiated!

Step 1

We’ll take it from overhead for this focus on how to draw a T-Rex. This is quite literal, as we will start from the T-Rex head! Using the reference image as a guide, you can use curved lines to create the outline of the T-Rex’s head. There will be two rounded points at the top of the T-Rex head, while the bottom will be pretty significant and rounded.

Step 2

For the next part of your T-Rex drawing, you can build from the head of the T-Rex to start creating the body. There will be more curved lines for theĀ  body. However, the other side will have pointed lines for the T-Rex tail. There should be a space at the bottom where we will add the legs later.

Step 3

We’ll move on to your drawing for this step of our guide on how to draw a T-Rex. The eyes will be drawn with an oval shape within an oval shape, as you can see in the reference image. Then, draw a curved tube next to the eye on the request. So, you are glad for the next step!

Step 4

Step 5

Earlier, we left a space at the bottom of your T-Rex drawing, and we will fill it with the first leg of the dinosaur. A T-Rex has a big, firm leg with giant feet at the end, so draw some turns.
